Located in Altamonte Springs just a few miles north of downtown Orlando, Altamonte Mall is most likely to attract local residents because of its location, but there are plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment options available at this very popular indoor mall, which is east of Interstate 4 on State Road 436.
Altamonte Mall is anchored by Dillard’s, Macy’s, JCPenney and Sears in a traditional wheel-spoke layout. In recent years an 18-screen AMC Theaters was added to the mall, making Altamonte at popular weekend location for moviegoers. The mall has an indoor play area (conveniently located right in front of a toy store) plus the unique Pinocchio’s Puppet Theater with scheduled performances and private parties. Other retailers in Altamonte Mall include Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, Champs Sports, Build-a-Bear Workshop, Radio Shack, Stride Rite, Bath & Body Works, and many more. The Barnes & Nobel bookstore is accessible from inside or outside of the mall.
In addition to traditional food court fare, there are a variety of eateries inside and outside Altamonte Mall, from the upscale Seasons 52, to the casual Orlando Ale House. Elephant Bar and Bahama Breeze are also on the mall property, and there are several smaller shopping centers with stores and restaurants within a one mile radius of Altamonte Mall. With Uptown Altamonte’s Crane’s Roost Lake nearby, it’s easy to take a peaceful stroll and feel as if you are miles away from a shopping mall.
