Orlando’s Amway Center

It’s not too late to catch an Orlando Magic NBA game during the team’s first season in the Amway Center. Opened in the fall of 2010, this 20,000 seat state-of-the-art facility is one of the most technologically advanced facilities in the country and everything from the HD screens and sound system to the upscale bars and restaurants have been kicked up another notch. The stadium can be easily spotted off of Interstate 4 near the 408 expressway, next to the former site of the Magic’s original arena, the TD Waterhouse Center/Amway Arena.

Some of the special architectural features at the Amway Center include the Sky Bar, rising 100 feet up over the venue with a spectacular view of the Orlando skyline. The tower spire is 180 feet tall and the LED lights change color based on the events in the arena—and there are many upcoming events at the Amway Center this year, from the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus to the Harlem Globetrotters and performers as diverse at Barry Manilow and Lady Gaga.
