The best all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana is something you might want to know if you are planning a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Punta Cana is one of the top 3 all-inclusive Caribbean resort destinations, the others being Cancun and Jamaica. This is one of the top destinations for families and couples, not to mention weddings and honeymoons.

Punta Cana lies at the very eastern tip of the island that is half Haiti and half Dominican Republic. There are over 30 all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana with several large hotel chains owning the majority. Some of those large chain resorts include Riu, Barcelo, Dreams, Ocean, Paradisus and Iberostar.

Speaking Spanish is a plus if you travel to Punta Cana as it is the national language and many of the patrons at these all-inclusive resorts speak Spanish as well, not necessary but certainly helpful.

Out of the 30+ all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana I compiled this list of the top 10 based on reviews. I am using the same metric I have used on my other lists like top 10 all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean, and ranking resorts at Sandals and Iberostar.


So here are the top 10 all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, with the percent "Excellent" reviews....

Not too difficult to see which chain offers the best all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana. Four of Iberostar's six resorts top the list and all six are in the top 10. The other resorts in Punta Cana may be fine resorts but based on reviews from people who have stayed at theses places, the numbers speak for themselves. No resort in Punta Cana comes close to the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro. In fact, Iberostar's Grand Hotel Bavaro made it on top 10 list of best all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean overall.



Iberostar is clearly the leading chain in building high-end luxury all-inclusive resorts, their best hotels are the "Grand" resorts and are for adults only (check out their video above). Rates at the Grand hotels start at over $400USD per night for a couple, but the other resorts are as low as $160USD so there is quite a range.

I found in looking around the major travel websites like Expedia, they don't show all the Iberostar properties.
