Have you considered St. Vincent and the Grenadines?

You may be asking yourself "where in the world are St. Vincent and the Grenadines?"  Don't feel alone, many people have no idea where the Grenadines are located.

The Grenadines are a chain of 600 islands in the SouthEast corner of the Caribbean, about 100 miles West of Barbados and 40 miles south of Saint Lucia. I was asking my friend today who's from St. Lucia, what in his opinion is the best Caribbean vacation?  Which island would he choose to vacation on?  His answer was The Grenadines.  I asked him why?  He said it is one of the quietest least traveled of the Caribbean islands.  One possible reason for this is likely the distance from the U.S., it's a long trip, even from Florida.

The island he recommended is called Mustique.  If you look at the map you'll see it there near the top.  It is just a dinky island just 1400 acres in size.  It is privately owned by 17 countries and individual property owners.  As you can imagine with private ownership everything is pristine.  Power and phone lines are all underground and the beaches are to die for.  This is a honeymooners paradise.
Now, St. Lucia is rated on many lists as the best Caribbean island to vacation on, so for my friend who grew up on St. Lucia to say he'd choose to go to Mustique in the Grenadines is really saying something.

There are only a handful of hotels and villas on Mustique and the best deals can be found on Book It you can also Find Last Minute Deals at hotels.com!. This isn't for you if you are into nightlife and casinos.  This is for those looking for the classic unspoiled, pristine, secluded Caribbean vacation.
